The San Francisco Bay Area network is a regional alumni group formed in 1969. We are dedicated to supporting the greater interests of UCLA and connecting local alumni to campus. We offer a wide number of programs and events including scholarship activities, community service projects, and athletic, cultural, networking and family events that support UCLA and meet the interests of our local alumni. There are over 36,000 Bruin alumni in the San Francisco Bay Area. Come out and join us!
Social activities average twice per month, network-wide. Please scroll below for event details. These events are just for fun and the types of activities vary widely, from happy hours and social dinners to hikes to theater and opera.
You can also have a monthly list of events e-mailed to you! Just provide the Association with your contact information and you will receive the Connect@UCLA newsletter. (Non-members can receive the Connect@UCLA at no charge!) Contact the Alumni Association at email@example.com or 800-825-2586.
The San Francisco Bay Area Network provides merit-based scholarship to UCLA students that attended High School or Community College in the Bay Area. These scholarships are administered as part of the state-wide Alumni Scholarship Program.
Local volunteers screen and interview candidates and select scholarship winners. Scholarship volunteering season occurs in March/April. Volunteering with the Scholarship Program is a great way to get started with participating in San Francisco Bay Area Network activities!
Community Service Volunteering
The San Francisco Bay Area Network provides an outlet for our alumni to provide service to the community. Activities occur approximately once per quarter.
