JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2010
Sunday, 24 January: Bulldogs and Pups group will meet at lunchtime for a family activity. Contact Adam Payne at ampayne6@gmail.com for more details or to get on his mailing list.
Tuesday, 26 January: Yale Book Club will discuss A Conspiracy
of Paper by David Liss. Please contact Erinn Goldman for more details or to get on her mailing list.
Thursday, 11 February: 3rd annual Feb Club Emeritus at the new Taco Mac at the Prado Shopping Center (Roswell Road just inside I-285). Due to a scheduling conflict, we moved the party to the Taco Mac. Construction at the Prado is now finished, and you'll find plenty of parking! If Feb Club wasn't part of your Yale experience, you need to join us to find out what it's all about. Alumni from ALL classes are welcome.
We expect everyone who attended the first two years to come back (you'd
better!), and if you missed it you need to start your own tradition -- we'd like
to break 100 attendees this year, the more the merrier!

We will order some appetizers to share, and you're welcome to start your own tab if you want to place a private order. In addition to Taco Mac's extensive beer selection, we have been promised the original Feb Club Emeritus Mory's Cup, not a generic stand-in!
Join hosts Marty Fleischmann '88 and Matt
DiVenere '87 for more fun than any normal Thursday night should be. We'll
get started about 6pm, but like last year the serious fun will probably not
start until 7pm and go to 10pm anyway (and could last much longer as some
linger to 11 or 12), so get there when you can and prepare to reconnect and
relive the old days with people from all classes. Hold and partake of the
cup yourself for the first time in 12 years or 12 months -- the feeling hasn't
changed. Have as much as you want, just be prepared to take the day off
work on Friday.
So RSVP at http://febclub.webs.com/, or just show up! Like last year, we'll have a suggested
donation of $10 per person (discount possible for recent grads), but you get
special treats for being a $20 "sponsor," like the great pint FCE beer glasses
we gave out (OK, sold) last year. Invite other Yalies or maybe a cool friend
and get ready to have fun! See you there.
Stay tuned for more on...
Thursday, 29 April: YCOG is very excited to announce that we have the opportunity to Yale Professor Charles Hill speak to us. Professor Hill serves as Diplomat-in-Residence and a lecturer in International Studies at Yale. He was executive aide to former Secretary of State George Schultz and served as special consultant on policy to the secretary-general of the United Nations from 1992 to 1996. We will post more details on this visit in the coming weeks.
Saturday, 15 May: Yale University's Second Annual Day of Service. We're currently calling for any volunteers who want to serve on the coordinating committee for the Atlanta-area event. Also, if you want to help plan future events, please contact Valerie Gong '07 at valerie.gong@aya.yale.edu.
Yale-Princeton Softball Game: Alas, the Princeton Club has suggested postponing our friendly, quasi-annual softball game until the spring 2010. Anyone interested in softball, including a tune-up scrimmage or two prior to the big matchup, please contact James Washburn at jwashburn@mckennalong.com.
