News - Community Services Saturday - Aug 2 was a success!
Thanks to the group representing VU who joined up with DePaul alumni and the staff and recent alumni of De Marillac Academy in the Tenderloin. Much was accomplished by working in teams including moving into new offices, painting, preparing the library, and organizing the building for the upcoming school year.
106 students (4th - 8th grades) begin school on Aug 12th with a well prepared and clean facility! wwwwww.demarillac.org
New Student Reception - July 20 - Thanks to the Constantines!
Debra, John ('73) and Alexandra ('09) Constantine hosted thirty people to send off 6 of our 19 Northern California freshmen. Guests included current students, incoming freshmen, alumni, and parents.
Summer Networking & Happy Hour - June 17 - A large group gathered on the roof-top deck at Medjool restaurant and were lucky with a fog free, warm evening.
Phillies vs. Giants - May 10 - Alumni and friends joined up at the ballpark.
DeMarillac Academy Dinner and Reception - April 17 - VU alumni and friends filled two tables at this social fundraiser at the St. Francis Hotel downtown.
Tournament - Game Watch - Round 3 - Kansas - Mar 28
Nearly 120 alumni, family, and friends joined together at an alumni owned establishment to support the Wildcats as they fought Kansas. Alumni from 2007 as well as the 00's, 90's, 80's, 70's and 60's were in attendance. Thanks to Joe V '96 (owner of Black Magic) for hosting the event!

Community Service - St. Anthony's Soup Kitchen - Dec 30 - Ten dedicated alumni and family members worked to serve the community in the Tenderloin. More than 2000 people in the neighborhood served!

Welcome to the Northern California Alumni Chapter website. Our chapter is committed to connecting members of the Villanova community who live, work or travel in the Northern California area. We host a receptions for visiting University leadership, game watches, happy hours, new student receptions, community service activities and more. Take a look at our events page to see what is happening in our area.
The strength of our very broad geographic chapter comes from the many efforts of our volunteers who take on a cause or lead an event. We realize many of us have to travel to participate and always look forward to crossing paths at a variety of events.

We maintain a local email list for impromptu notifications of social events, short term service projects, or to ask for volunteers / leaders for special events. When Game Watch time comes, we will post the games on the website, but we may send reminders through this short list.
This list does not replace being on the Chapter List mentioned in the above section. This is informal, maintained by Don and used from time to time when needed. Please be sure you are on the main VU list.
