Theresa Flagg (1999) of Tobaccoville has been chosen as a Roy H. Park Fellow at the UNC Chapel Hill's School of Journalism and Mass Communication. The fellowship includes full tuition and fees, health insurance, an annual stipend, and research and travel funds. She will begin the master's program this fall.

Sterling Valentine (2007) received her Federal Law Enforcement credentials during graduation ceremonies at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA. She will receive several weeks of field training, after which she will assume her duties as U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Refuge Officer at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge.

Victoria (Lowell) Walker (1994)
Victoria is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education with a double concentration in Higher Education Institutional Research and Policy Planning and Distance Education at Regent University, in Virginia Beach, VA. She anticipates graduating in December 2008.

Jason graduated from Otago University in New Zealand with a graduate diploma in teaching and has just gotten a job teaching year 7 at Kavanagh College in Dunedin New Zealand. He will also be head of the outdoor recreation department for the intermediate department.
