A new and growing chapter of Vanderbilt alumni, relatives, and friends in France would like to extend a warm welcome to all those interested in meeting and joining in our activities. These activities range from informal parties to dinners featuring a speaker, whether a Fulbright student or a visiting professor, to formal receptions such as the annual cocktail at the American ambassador's residence. Today there are more than 60 of us living in France, mostly in the Paris area, with many more coming here for business or for a vacation stay. When asked what has drawn us here or kept us here, many of us readily answer: the beauty of France and the quality of life. Enriched by our international experience and diversity of background, we are keen to support Vanderbilt in its effort to attract international students and become better known as a world class institution.
