706 Alumni * 15 Current Students

I would like to thank you for exploring the Richmond Vanderbilt Chapter.  Richmond has many of the same traits that made Nashville a great place to live.  It is the capital of the Commonwealth and a center for business and government.  It boasts a long historical tradition, but has taken great steps to be a leader in the 21st century.  I hope that if you are relocating to the area you will give some thought to joining the Vanderbilt community already established in the region.

The Chapter is open to anyone associated with the Vanderbilt community, including alumni, students, parents, friends, and faculty.  There is no cost to join, and you can stay informed about activities through the Web site and through email invitations.

The Chapter tries to host several events per year to give people an opportunity to meet other members of the Vanderbilt community.  We usually have a send-off each summer for the incoming freshmen.  We also have educational events and social get-togethers.  Over the years we have watched Vanderbilt triumph in the Music City Bowl, had a historian give a talk at the Virginia Historical Society, and had a visiting Vanderbilt history professor describe his recent research about to be published.  We also have had the Chancellor visit the Chapter.  We are open to suggestions for additional events.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or want to get involved in the Chapter.
