William C. Caccamise (1944)
"Bill Caccamise is now retired and living in the Rochester area. His career was in opthalmology with an early committment in India and Nepal, 1951-1968, off and on, at the Kurji Holy Family Hospital on the banks of the Ganges. All this was followed by private practice in Rochester."

Drew Justin Asson (1989)
Drew J. Asson (1989) writes, "I've been busy doing federal elections consulting in DC as well as PR for a local official's campaign. My main goal, especially after the elections, is to continue working on my novel and maybe thrash out some ideas about an anthropological inside-the-Beltway piece about nonprofits, politics and fundraising. I've also returned to photography, experimenting primarily with a manual camera and real film. I remain happily and excitedly married to Diane Marie Hertz Asson (1989)!"

Chris Dugan (1987)
Chris Dugan (1987) was recently promoted to Vice President and General Manager from Vice President of Business Development at Cooper Industries located in Syracuse, NY. "I recently was promoted to run Cooper Industries' Interconnect Division. We employ about 1000 associates in the US and Mexico, and make data and power connectors for industrial and military applications. I'll remain in Syracuse, NY, with Trish, the 4 youngins and our dog Ronan. "

Carlos Nathan Catanach (1997)
Carlos Nathan Catanach (1997) and Tracey (Guerette) Catanach (attended UR 1993 and Fall 94)) are proud to announce the birth of thier 4th child, a baby girl, Lorelai Hailey. She was born on June 30, at Home, in Suprise AZ, and weighed 9 lb., 0 oz.. Mom and Dad are doing well but are still in shock that they had a little girl. Lorelai's big brothers Nathan - 6, Spencer - 4, and Gavin - 2 are excited to have a sister and can't wait to torture and protect her like any good big brothers would do. The Catanachs are also enjoying the blistering hot AZ sun after spending the past two years in Buffalo.

Karen Elliott (1988) recently accepted a position at dms Corporate Services Ltd. located in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands as Assistant Manager. "dms is the largest management firm in the Cayman Islands focused on serving the hedge fund industry. It is a challenging and rewarding position with the opportunity to work in a very beautiful environment."  Click here for photo

Barry H. Bergen (1978) writes, "I have been promoted to Professor of History at Gallaudet University. In August of 2007 I was appointed chairman of the Department of Government & History at Gallaudet."

Noah D. Drezner (2000)
Noah D. Drezner (2000) received a PhD in Higher Education from University of Pennsylvania. Noah is honored to have received the President and Provost’s Citation for Exceptional Commitment to Graduate and Professional Student Life. The award is presented to graduate or professional students who have been catalysts for transformative and lasting new developments that have enhanced graduate and professional student life at Penn. Additionally, Noah was awarded, the William E. Arnold Award for the graduating doctoral student who, in the estimation of the faculty, students, and staff has a record of outstanding academic achievement and who gives promise of future achievement in scholarship and leadership, all the while making a significant impact on the Graduate School of Education. Noah is joining the faculty at the University of Maryland, College Park as an Assistant Professor of Higher Education - tenure track.

James Daniels Beardsley (1989)
CDR James (Dan) Beardsley (1989) writes, I was mobilized by the Navy to manage DoD customs inspections in Kuwait and Iraq in February. In April I met LtCol Jim Leighty (89) while waiting for a flight from Kuwait to Iraq. We had a chance to catch up while grounded due to a sand storm.  Click here for photo

David Kyuman Kim (1987)
David Kyuman Kim (1987) writes, "David Kyuman Kim, '87, has received tenure at Connecticut College and is now Associate Professor of Religious Studies, as well as the Director of the College's Center for the Comparative Study of Race and Ethnicity. His book Melancholic Freedom: Agency and the Spirit of Politics was published in 2007 by Oxford University Press. In 2008-2009, Kim will be a Visiting Professor in the Humanities at Brown University's Cogut Center for the Humanities.

Diane Hoffman-Kim, '88, received tenure at Brown University and is now Associate Professor of BioMedical Engineering. She is also the Director of Graduate Studies in the Program in BioMedical Engineering at Brown."

Jacalyn Marie Borchardt (2007) writes, "I will be traveling to Denver for the Democratic National Convention, Aug. 17-25. It would be nice to meet some alums in town while I'm there. Most of my time will be spent reporting and blogging from the convention for the Columbia Missourian. I am currently a graduate student studying print journalism at the University of Missouri."
