ON-GOING PROGRAMS
Metro Pitt Club Scholarship - In keeping with our Club's strategic direction of recognizing excellence, the MPC awards a merit-based scholarship, without regard to financial need, to a high school senior who meets our selection criteria. To qualify, applicants must be in the top 5% of their graduating class, must have at least a 1400 SAT or 31 ACT score, must demonstrate outstanding academic potential, and scholastic achievement in a rigorous high school curriculum. Singular attainment in any demanding or competitive arena is particularly noteworthy as a proven capacity for leadership. Ours is a $2,000 award for the student's freshman year, which is then matched by the Pitt Alumni Association and the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid for the next 3 years, provided the student maintains at least a 3.0 grade point average and remains a full-time student at the Oakland campus. The total amount of the scholarship award can be a maximum of $8,000.
