Mark Anthony O'Neill (1998) writes, " On Friday, October 23, 2009, Mark will be honored as one of Central Penn Business Journal’s 2009 Forty Under 40 award recipients for his commitment to business growth, professional excellence and the community at an evening reception and awards program at the Harrisburg Hilton. This year marks the program’s 15th anniversary and included a record number of nominees for the judges to consider. Mark is currently Executive Director of Lancaster Gastroenterology, Inc. (LGI) Nominations for the Forty Under 40 program ended in late April, and a panel of four judges, all past recipients of the award, reviewed and scored the nominees to determine the top forty list. Following the event, O’Neill and the other award recipients will be featured in a special supplement to the October 30th edition of the Central Penn Business Journal.  Click here for photo

In addition to overseeing the Museum’s development department, having done so for three years, I now also manage all marketing and public relations efforts.

In addition, I was recently elected to the board of the Monte del Sol Charter School and accepted into the 2009/2010 class of Leadership Santa Fe."

Yvonne Potts Hudson (1989), who earned a master's in theatre arts, recently accepted a position at The Harbour School located in Annapolis/Baltimore, MD as Director of Development. Yvonne recently was employed at Folger Shakespeare Library as Interim Manager, Poetry and Lectures. "After a variety of short-term projects in marketing and events since summer 2009, I completed docent training at the Folger Shakespeare Library on Capitol Hill and have moved into a new full-time role in development. I will be managing fundraising, events and public relations for The Harbour School, an innovative educational institution focussing on special education. I look forward to working closely with teachers and students as the enrollment on each campus is around 100. I continue to perform Mrs Shakespeare, my solo show on the Bard's wife, and appeared at the Folger during the annual open house for Shakespeare's birthday. My other projects include programs on Emily Dickinson, which I most recently presented for Mifflin County Library in Pennsylvania." Yvonne plans to return for Homecoming to present Mrs Shakespeare in the English Nationality Room in 2009.

Leonard Lloyd Hayhurst (2001)
"Pitt alum Leonard Hayhurst received an honorable mention from the Associated Press Society of Ohio at their annual awards luncheon Sunday in Columbus, Ohio, for feature writer of the year in Division 1 (newspapers under 8,000 daily circulation).

This is Hayhurst’s first nomination in the category for his first year of employment at the Coshocton Tribune of Coshocton, Ohio. He is also employed at sister newspaper the Zanesville Times Recorder of Zanesville, Ohio.

He is a former 411 Movies Zone Editor and currently writes the weekly Ask 411 Movies column and hosts the weekly movies zone podcast.

He is also an on air film reviewer for AM 1620 The Valley of Ligonier, Pa.

Hayhurst is a 2001 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor of arts in fiction writing and a certificate in film studies. He is a 1997 graduate of West Muskingum High School of Zanesville, Ohio.

The award honors people who have made a significant difference in Procter & Gamble through their sustained and exceptional technical contributions. In a release about the award, Procter & Gamble says the award recognizes Panepinto’s 15 years of technical mastery in Health, Safety and Environmental across several business units. Panepinto is recognized company wide for his unique ability to integrate deep technical expertise and competence into innovative solutions that meet and exceed business, customer and government expectations and laws.
