George Parks led the Minuteman Marching Band for 33 years. We mourn his untimely passing on 9/16/10.

Celebrations for graduating seniors started with a week of special activities and events coordinated by the Alumni Association.

The month of April 2010 has been designated as the 3rd Annual UMass Amherst National Community Service month. The UMass Amherst Alumni Association, in conjunction with its national Alumni Club network, participated in a wide variety of community service projects throughout the country. These projects benefited communities, strengthened alumni bonds, raisde the visibility of the Alumni Association and its Alumni Clubs, and were a lot of fun as well!

Each year the Alumni Association honors alumni, faculty, and friends who have built on their UMass Amherst experience to attain distinguished achievement in the public, business or service based realms. Photos by Thom Kendall.

Twenty-four alumni from across the country traveled to New Orleans for an Alumni Association Home Building Community Service Project.
