Michelle-Kim Lee and Bret Cohen were married on September 29, 2012. Gennifer Delay (2003), Teresa Malone (2002), and Samantha Sherwin (2003) were members of the bridal party. Lesley Mathews (2008, CNS )
Mrs. Sandra Merck (Leblanc) and stepfather Mr. John Mercak of Leominster, Massachusetts are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter Dr. Lesley A. Mathews (2008, CNS) to Dr. Nicholas B. Griner of Spokane, WA, son of Mr. Mark Griner and Ms. Suzanne Besemer Griner. The couple who currently reside in Gaithersburg, MD met in 2005 while attending a Ph.D. program in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Prior to attending UMASS, Lesley graduated with honors from Leominster High School in 1999 and earned her Bachelor’s in Biology graduating sigma cum laude from Clark University in 2003. In 2010, after completing her fellowship training at the National Cancer Institute in Frederick, Maryland Lesley was appointed as a Staff Scientist at the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences in Rockville, MD. Nicholas graduated as valedictorian from East Valley High School in 1999 and earned his Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Biology from the University of Washington in 2003. Nicholas is currently a Henry M. Jackson Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Prostate Disease Research in Rockville, MD. The wedding will take place June 2013 at the Colonial Inn in Gardner, MA with Marissa Fratoni (Maher) as the maid of honor and Ryan Ryle as the best man. The couple who share of a love of craft beer plan to have a short honeymoon in Portland, ME after the wedding, followed by a longer trip to Germany and Belgium in the near future.

The couple met on campus while working for UMASS Health Services Urgent Care department in 2007. The bride is employed as a Cardiovascular ICU nurse, and the groom works as an anesthetist. The couple currently reside in Houston, TX.

Michaella Morzuch (2003, SBS )
Michaella Christine Morzuch (2003, BA Political Science & 2008, MPP) and David Finger (2002, BA Political Science & 2004 MBA) are happy to announce their marriage on September 10, 2011 at Jacob's Pillow in Becket, MA. They currently reside in Watertown, MA. The couple's wedding was attended by a host of proud UMass alumni. Attendants included Elizabeth Anne Morzuch (2005), Emma Louisa Morzuch (2012'G), Emily (Hayes) Sheehan (2004), Emily Barnard (2002, 2007 'G), Kelly (Duhart) Maguire (2001), Hannah Richardson Finger, Michael Finger, Jason Kass (2002), and Brian Trybulski (2004). Cleve E. Willis (former Dean of College of Natural Resources and the Environment) blessed the couple with one of his poems, and Bernie Morzuch (father of the bride and professor in Resource Economics) danced up a storm. The couple honeymooned in the Berkshires and the Cape. Michaella is health research analyst at Mathematica Policy Research in Cambridge. David is a supply demand planner at Staples, Inc. in Framingham.

Peter Kelly-Joseph (2007, SBS) and Lauren (MacDonald) Kelly-Joseph (2007) are happy to announce their marriage on July 30, 2011 at Pamet Harbor Yacht and Tennis Club in Truro, Massachusetts. They met as freshmen at UMass in John Adams Hall and currently reside in Boston.

Lauren is an elementary school teacher in Grafton, MA and received a master's in education from UMass Boston. Peter recently graduated from Tufts with a master's in environmental policy and is an envionmental compliance specialist at Tufts. Peter serves on the steering committee for the UMass Alumni Club of Greater Boston.

Stephanie Fuchs (2005, HFA) Christopher and Susan Fuchs, of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Barbara Fuchs, to Scott Douglas Bentley, son of Douglas and Linda Bentley of Slatersville, Rhode Island. The wedding ceremony will take place in the Summer of 2010.

The future bride is from Hopkinton, and is a 200l graduate of Hopkinton High School, MA. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts, History degree and a Master of Education degree from the University of Massachusetts. Ms. Fuchs is a social studies teacher at Northbridge High School, MA.

The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Woonsocket High School, RI. He graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2003, earning a Bachelor of Science, Management Information Systems degree, with a minor in Computer Science. Mr. Bentley is employed as a Senior Systems Analyst by Fidelity Investments in Smithfield, RI.
