 UMass Boston Remembers First Admissions Director
Chancellor J. Keith Motley and the entire University of Massachusetts Boston community were greatly saddened to learn of the death of Mr. F. Donald Costello, Admissions Director of UMass Boston, who died peacefully on March 20th.
Mr Costello joined UMass Boston in 1964 and was part of a talented group recruited to lead the University in its founding years.
He recently returned to the University to celebrate the 40th Reunion of the Charter Class of 1969, where he received an award of appreciation for his years of service. The inscription on the award read:
"For your dedication to the founding of a university, for your time, love and continuous support given over the years to the students of UMass Boston. With deepest gratitude the University of Massachusetts Boston Charter Class of 1969"
