Mission Statement and Officers
In 1999, The University of Houston Alumni Association – Atlanta Area Club was formed with seven charter members. These individuals recognized the importance of supporting UH and its alumni outside the state of Texas. Over the past nine years, growth and support for this area club has been incredible. We have alumni from many of the southeastern United States who stay connected with UH through the Atlanta Area Club.
Paid membership into UHAA automatically results in membership with the Atlanta Club and its benefits. The Atlanta Area Club exists to support UH, UHAA, the Houston Athletics Foundation (HAF), and UH alumni throughout the southeast United States. Our activities are designed for fun and to promote Cougar pride!
We recognize that everyone has a busy life, so we plan our calendar of events with that in mind – we do something once a month! Our board of directors meets every other month, and we have a planned activity every other month. The board meetings are open to everyone, and we encourage you to attend and share your ideas for future events. Our monthly activities include Thirty Thursday happy hours, game watching events, our annual wine tasting, and much more.
