The undergraduate Chapter is strong and successful. Chapter strength is at 50 members going into summer rush. Today Teke is first or second in chapter size on UH campus. The chapter has been competitive in every aspect of campus life and ended the spring semester with the highest GPA among UH Fraternities.
The Teke Alumni Network, your Alumni Association, is an official affiliate Alumni Association under the banner of The University of Houston Alumni Association. Any EO Alumni that joins UHAA is automatically an official member of the Network and the organization is free to provide services to all Tekes, UHAA members or not. EO is the pioneer Greek organization in this regard and has enjoyed numerous notable benefits form access to the resources and programs of the parent organization.
One notable service is access to the Educational Foundation of the organization. This eliminates our need for a separate 501C Corporation and allows for qualified gifts to Teke to be tax deductible. The “Network” has built a scholarship support fund at UHAA with assets of over $40,000. In addition, fully endowed scholarships have been funded by three Alumni Fraters (Lott, Burns, and Planck) and another (Steen) has agreed to, by gift, fund the Teke Triangle Scholarship for an outstanding entering freshman student. In addition, the Bohner scholarship is available thru UH. This year six student scholarships in support of TKE will be awarded!
As our scroll of members approaches the One Thousand mark, your chapter and its Alumni Network are dedicated to the values of Love, Charity, and Esteem and to representing the best of America’s youth thru our chapter’s activities and deportment. Our young men are gentlemen that you would be proud to call Frater. Our Alumni continue to value their friendships and their shared values with other Alumni Fraters.
Should you wish to learn more, make suggestions, volunteer to become involved, or ask questions…please do not hesitate to contact me at at dschubie@swbell.net. Thank you for all that you have done to make TKE the best the great organization it has become!
Yours in the Bond,
Peter Schubert EO 320 President, UH Teke Alumni Network
