GamedayGolf Tournament | Tailgate Challenge | Sponsorship

A parade of red and white golf carts, that perfected Texas BBQ only found in the shadow of Robertson Stadium, the sounds of the Spirit of Houston marching band drifting across a cool autumn breeze: it’s enough to make most alumni returning for Homecoming faint from nostalgia.

Held October 12-26, The University of Houston’s 2009 Homecoming festivities will offer a variety of traditional and new events, sure to stir your Cougar spirit. This year’s theme: Eyes on the Pride. We’ve always had our eyes on the “prize”—Tier One status for the university, national rankings and bowl wins for the football program—so now that we’ve begun achieving both, it’s time to take “pride” in those accomplishments.

Use the quick links above for detailed information on major Homecoming events, or see below for a complete schedule.

A special thanks to Jason Fuller, UH Alumni Council Chair, and Yuen Yee Ma, past president of the Asian Alumni Association, for serving as this year's Homecoming co-chairs. Also, thanks to our 2009 Homecoming sponsors: Goodman Financial, Tolunay-Wong Engineers, McDermott International, Landry's Restaurants, Liberty Mutual, and Bank of Houston.
