Membership Levels and Benefits

Joining any membership-based non-profit is about investing in the future of whatever that non-profit supports, right? Accordingly, a portion of your membership with The University of Houston Alumni Association supports student scholarships; legislative advocacy; programs to honor outstanding alumni, faculty and staff; career networking; alumni communications; community service; and programs for alumni and friends throughout the world.

But let's be honest. It's much easier to join when that membership comes with really cool perks and privileges. Here's just a few UHAA member benefits:

• Campus parking hangtag (economy lots for basic memberships, all ungated student lots for Golden Cougar, Century Club, and Life Memberships)
• Access to online alumni directory
• M.D. Anderson Library privileges (in-person access only)
• Wellness & Recreation Center privileges (additional fee)
• Discounted health, life, auto, and home insurance programs
• Discounted tickets to Moores School of Music and UH School of Theatre performances
• 15% discount at The College Store

OK, so you still want to know about the different membership levels. Fair enough. Here's a quick rundown:

• Annual Membership - $50; $60 (joint) - For your average Cougar, though we know there is no such thing. All the benefits above for one year.
• New Grad Membership - $20 - For alumni within their first year after graduation.
• Recent Grad Membership - $25 - For alumni within 2-3 years after graduation.
• CampusCougar Membership - $25; $35 (joint) - For UH faculty and staff. You come to campus everyday, so no excuses!
• Golden Cougar Membership - $35; $45 (joint) - For alumni and friends who are 60+.
• Century Club Membership - $100; $125 (joint) - For those who can afford to give beyond standard memberships.
• Life Membership - $1,000; $1,500 (joint) - We'll erect a statue of you on campus! OK, not quite, but wouldn't it be nice to know you'll be a UH supporter for life? Join the more than 3,400 alumni and friends who have already made that decision. All sorts of payment options are available.
