UHAA golfers brave elements,
brush up on UH
More than 160 golfers turned out despite a rainy
Nov. 3 for the 4th Annual UH Alumni Association Homecoming Golf Tournament,
presented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local
1186. This year's tournament at the Honolulu Country Club was uniquely
centered on UH, featuring on-course entertainment with a fruit game by the
College of Tropical Agriculture & Human Resources, a forensic anthropology
game by UH West O'ahu, and cold noodles served up by the Culinary Institute of
the Pacific at Kapi'olani Community College. Honolulu Community College set up
a pre-tournament display featuring its Construction Academy, and the Wahine
Basketball team was on hand to sell Mulligans as a team fundraiser. The par 3
challenge was a fundraiser for the Men's Volleyball team, and all tournament
prizes were from UH. Special thanks to UHAA board member and ESPN
1420AM general manager Randal Ikeda and his team, who helped secure many of
the tournament sponsors, including our title sponsor. ESPN 1420AM's AC and
Chris Hart did a live broadcast from the course including interviews with our
golfers.

Nights
University of Hawai'i Alumni Association
members will receive a special 50%-off ticket discount for Alumni
Nights at select 2009 UH Athletics games (maximum of eight tickets
per game). A valid UHAA membership card is required when purchasing tickets at
the Stan Sheriff Center or Aloha Stadium box office. Tickets are in special

NOTICE: 2010 UH alumni print directory
project
The 2010 University of Hawai'i alumni print
directory project is underway. This resource, which will be released next
spring, will contain listings of fellow alumni and give you a chance to share
your stories, pictures and life experiences with friends and former
classmates. Alumni must verify their information by Jan. 4, 2010, in
order to be included in the directory. To do so, or if you have not
yet received any information about this project, please call 1-866-874-7468.
Unverified information will not be published. There is no obligation to
purchase a directory in order to be listed.
UHAA does not profit from
the sale of the directories. Our primary purpose for participating in this
project is to update our alumni database in an effort to keep UH alumni
connected to our university and to fellow alumni. The information will be
available for free to alumni in our online community directory at
www.UHalumni.org.
UHAA has chosen Harris Connect, LLC, to produce this
publication. Harris Connect sells the directories and keeps the proceeds in
exchange for conducting this large-scale database update for us. Alumni
