	"(UHAA Distinguished Alumni Award) Walter Kirimitsu -- Attorney, state judge, and advocate. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese language and literature from UH Manoa in 1962. He was student body president, served on the UH Athletics Board and was active in ROTC. After graduating from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor with a Juris Doctor in 1965, he quickly established himself as a well-respected member of Hawai‘i's legal community. He has served as a senior partner in the Honolulu law firm of Shim, Tam, Kirimitsu & Chang; as a judge on the state's Intermediate Court of Appeals; and as vice president for Legal Affairs and University General Counsel for the University of Hawai‘i. He is now president of St. Louis School.",

Shidler is founder and managing partner of The Shidler Group, a Honolulu-based commercial real estate company, and is nationally acknowledged for his expertise in real estate and finance. Since forming the Shidler Group in 1972, he has been involved in the acquisition and management of more than 2,000 properties in 40 states and Canada.. Four of the companies he founded are listed on the New York Stock Exchange.. He is a noted philanthropist who gifted the Shidler College of Business at UH Manoa with a $25 million gift in 2006.",
