University of Delaware Track & Field Youth Clinic Set for June 15-18
NEWARK,
Del. -- The University of Delaware men’s and women’s track and field
programs will host a Track & Field Youth Clinic this June 15-18 at
the UD Athletics Complex.
The clinic, designed for youth
ages 8 to 18, will be held each evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Delaware
Mini-Stadium and outdoor track. Participants will be grouped by age and
ability. The cost is $100 per participant and includes instruction and
a clinic t-shirt.

Participants
will receive instructions in sprints, relays, hurdles, and distance
running, throws, and jumps and will learn skills, drills, and
techniques in each event. Sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play will
be emphasized during all clinic events.
Clinicians will
include McFarlane, UD men’s and women’s cross country and men’s track
and field head coach Jim Fischer, and Delaware assistant coaches Asha
Quant, Larry Pratt, Michael Roberts, Nathan Irvin, and Chris Watson. Registration Brochure
