During the process of interviewing alumni for the R.E.A.L. Narratives Project two years ago many of you had expressed an interest in establishing an alumni group specifically designed for the graduates of the REAL program. This past spring Joseph Neal A'09 and Katerina Lucas A'07, both REAL students, acted upon your wishes and RSA was given a preliminary approval in June 2007 by the Tufts University Alumni Association.

The initial goals for the RSA are mainly social in nature. Establishing contact with past alumni who may have fallen through the cracks of Tufts traditional alumni network, creating networking opportunities for interaction between current REAL students and alumni, and organizing mixers and more events where REAL alumni can visit with old friends. We will require some additional help to organize this group into a self-sustainable association. While the RSA has the full support of the Tufts Alumni Association, we need to provide direction for our association through the assistance and dedication of REAL alumni.

We are seeking a few additional alumni to join our steering committee and mold the RSA into a program we can be proud of. The committee duties will be generally light and fun in nature, such as: picking dates and locations for events, creating event menus, contacting alumni, etc.
