Simon Oliver (1971)
Exiled in France since 1980, Simon Oliver has graduated from running Irish pubs and restaurants to opening a specialist Estate Agency devoted to the sale of holiday homes and B&Bs. In a country renowned for its early retirement age and dogged ageism Simon is determined to continue working and prove them wrong (and pay off his mortgage). After all, he took retirement early - at 22 years old - and only started serious work at age 40.
Based in Toulouse in the sunny south Simon lives quietly with his two children and wife, a philosophy professor. His agency opens its arms to the Irish and all TCD alumni: www.gitesforsalefrance.com

Helen (Finlay) Dawkins (1984)
THis is a sad message regarding the death of Helen Slattery, nee BArrett, who graduated in Genetics in 1984. She subsequently went on to become a very successful science teacher, travelling to Abu Dhabi, Australia, and finally settling in Aberdeen, Scotland with her family. She is greatly missed by family and friends.

Jan van Blankenstein (1962)
Graduated in 1962. Worked in bankeing and insurance till 1966. Joined Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs in 1967 (International division), retired in 2002. Stil row (single and double scull) and attempt to do some painting (oil). Live in Voorburg near the Hague.

I live in Dublin Ireland. I am currently managing my own business in Ireland (B&T Computers Ltd.) I also owns an offshore company in China doing outsourcing work between Ireland and China. We provide various opportunities between China and Ireland and we are always actively looking for opportunities between the two countries.
