A scholarship is awarded to at least one (1) incoming local freshman from the Philadelphia area at the Annual New Student Send Off.

In 2007 and 2008, two (2) $500 gift cards to the SU Bookstore were awarded to two members of the Class of 2011 and 2012, respectively.  In 2009, we awarded four (4) scholarships to members of the Class of 2013.

Funds for these scholarhips are derived from generous donations made by local alums to help defer the costs of attending Syracuse University.  Any profits made from purchases of gifts from the SUPAC store (www.cafepress.com/suphillyalumni) go directly to the SUPAC Scholarship Fund.  Further, now that they are ready to be ordered, money raised from the sale of SU license plates in Pennsylvania go directly to the SUPAC Scholarship Fund.  Click here to order your plate today!

If you would like to make a direct, tax-deductible donation to the SUPAC Scholarship Fund, please contact Club President, Andrew Laver, at andrew_laver@yahoo.com or Club Treasurer, Jennifer Sacks, at jennysacks@gmail.com for more information.  You may also send a check made payable to "SU Philadelphia Alumni Club" and mail it to P.O. Box 59527, Philadelphia, PA 19102.  Please make a notation on your check that these funds should be directed to the SUPAC Scholarship Fund and also note where your letter of contribution from the Club should be sent.
