The Alumni Club of Houston is bringing SU's Career Services and 'networking at its best' to your city!
Thursday, June 2, 2011 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Trotter Family YMCA 2nd Floor Conference Room 1331 Augusta Dr. Houston, TX 77057
(Free parking available in front of the building or in the adjacent YMCA garage.)
Please RSVP to John Auth at jauth75@comcast.net.
Kim Brown '06, Alumni Program Coordinator in Career Services, will be presenting and facilitating a wonderful evening. Did you know SU’s Career Services office is available to you – FREE – even long after you’ve graduated? Whether by phone or in person, you’ve got access to everything from resume critiques to mock interviews to alumni connections! Even if you’re not looking for a job, Kim can help you to understand some of the best tools for networking – including our Mentor@ SU program, Twitter and LinkedIn. Learn how to find a mentor or be one yourself, how tweets can turn into terrific opportunities, and how to build a strong LinkedIn profile that you understand how to use! Kim has dozens of success stories to share about these tools and how they’ve helped our students and alumni make incredible connections and land awesome jobs.
Kim is also looking for neat alumni to profile for Career Services’ new YouTube Channel while she’s traveling. If you’re not camera shy and have a cool job or career story to tell, let us know!
