Alumna, Catherine Wang hosted a summer send off for incoming freshmen in the DC area on August 24, 2008 at her home in Arlington, VA. New freshmen and their families met with Alumni, enjoyed refreshments, received Red Hot Stony Brook gear, and had an opportunity to meet each other before move-in day.

Andrew Bressler (1971) writes, "Andrew Bressler (1971) is currently in his 30th year working for Southern California Permanent Medical Group, first as an emergency physician, and recently as a hospitalist. He was Chief of Emergency Medicine for eleven years. He and his wife Stephanie will be celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, and they have two sons, Jonathan (23) at Harvard Law, and Steven (21) who will be attending Albany Medical College."

Robin Schoenfeld (1999)
Robin Schoenfeld Olson, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at SUNY at Stony Brook in 1999, will climb Mt. Hood on June 7-8, 2008 to fight breast cancer. She will join 17 other ordinary people in the quest for the Mt. Hood summit as part of Climb to Fight Breast Cancer, a fundraiser for the Seattle, Wash.-based Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Along with her fellow climbers, Robin has pledged to raise $3,000 for breast cancer research programs being conducted at the Hutchinson Center.
