• Time spent organizing, preparing, or providing direct volunteer, unpaid service hours for non-profit or similar organizations (schools, nursing homes, hospitals, community service organizations, churches/synagogues)
• Time spent organizing or planning a charity fundraiser or raising funds for a charity
• Time spend participating in a charity event like a run/walk
• Pro-bono professional and/or medical services
• Service learning activities taking place inside or outside the classroom
• Internships with non-profit groups that serve the community
• Board service
• Federally-supported service such as AmeriCorps and Peace Corps, as well as service-related federal work study hours.
• Paid employment
• Campaign activity
• Paid board service
Service hours for Susquehanna alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents and friends/family members are eligible to be counted, and all participants will be required to affirm that their service hours meet the above definition.
