Smith College Club of Rochester Announces
59th Annual Tour of Homes

ROCHESTER, NY --- The Smith College Club of Rochester will hold its 59th Annual House Tour on Saturday, May 10, 2008, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tour-goers are invited to rediscover Rochester as the club proudly presents five beautiful homes that highlight the renewal of Rochester city living. From thoughtful restoration of historic residences to dramatic new development projects that enliven our city, these homes are sure to delight with their city views, architectural details, impressive artwork, and whimsical collections. Exact tour locations are listed in the annotated ticket brochure.

All proceeds from the event benefit an endowed scholarship fund established with the first Club tour. The fund provides financial assistance to regional students attending Smith College, a private liberal arts college for women located in Northampton, Massachusetts.

  • Lee Residence Porcelain and artwork compete for your eye in this well-appointed patio home. The fabrics and colors bring the outside inside.
  • Nachbar ResidenceA stunning country house and barn with views of downtown Rochester and grazing horses. Recent renovations include a beautiful kitchen and a wine cellar grotto.
  • Held ResidenceThis example of an early Greek Revival farmhouse was carefully moved from Henrietta to its present site on Taylor Road in Honeoye Falls. The interior decoration is clean and spare, with some beautiful antiques.

All tour proceeds support an endowed scholarship fund providing financial assistance to local women attending Smith College.
