Hello fellow Smithies! First, a quick update and a big thank you to everyone who supported the Club this year. In FY2008, the Club raised approximately $940 from membership dues, scholarship, book awards, and discretionary fund donations. This year we minimized our operating expenses by sending the newsletter via email only. Our operating expenses were approximately $475 (down substantially from $1521 in FY 2007). This figure included one mailing, web site, event, and book awards expenses. In addition, New Haven County alumnae donated $380 directly to the Scholarship Fund. Second, I would like to highlight that we have nearly five hundred alumnae in New Haven County. Without your financial support, our resources and efforts are limited. If you are not a member in good standing, please consider joining or rejoining the Smith College Club of Greater New Haven and getting involved!
