Sophie & Co.’s story is the classic tale of two financial whizzes, Christine Gonzalez ‘99 & Eunice Tavolacci, who found friendship and fulfillment through their creative diversions. The two gals put their heads and hands together to create one-of-a-kind bags for friends … and then friends-of-friends … and soon enough, their wares were swept up at local boutiques quicker than their part-time stitching sessions could replace them (even with the help of all their Smithie friends).

Would you or an alumna you know like to be featured in the next spotlight? This is an excellent tool to communicate information about your business, organization, or idea to all alumnae in New Haven County. Currently, that’s nearly 500 of us. Preference is given to dues paying members. Contact Josefa Abdelnour.
