Philadelphia University Alumni Association
Mission: The Philadelphia University Alumni Association serves as the official alumni organization of the University to engage in those activities commonly associated with an Alumni Association; to organize and motivate the alumni of Philadelphia University for the advancement of the University; to promote the interests of the University internationally, and to cultivate fellowship and goodwill amongst the members of the members of Alumni Association worldwide.
Membership: All degree-holding alumni of Philadelphia University are automatically granted lifetime membership of the Alumni Association.
Organizational Structure:
- Alumni Association Leadership Council
The Leadership Council is a volunteer committee whose members serve as primary liaison between the Alumni Association membership and the University. Membership is representative of the diverse alumni community. Membership also includes the chairs and lead volunteers of the various Alumni Association Councils.
- Councils
Subcommittees of the Alumni Association established to focus on specific issues or to address the needs of a segment of the alumni community.
- Awards and Recognition Council
Assists the University in recognizing the achievements and contributions of the alumni community. For details on the existing alumni awards and past recipients, please visit the Alumni Awards page.
- Career Council
The Career Council serves as liaison to the Career Services Center to provide alumni support for the career exploration, networking and professional development of students and alumni.
- Employee Alumni Council
The Employee Alumni Council provides leadership, programming and support for Employee Alumni. The Council will also serve as liaison to campus departments and assist in the outreach to Continuing Studies Alumni.
- First 5 Council
The First 5 Council is a leadership and programming body which focuses on engaging graduates of the last five years.
- Regional Networks
Regional Alumni Networks facilitate the connection among alumni who live and work in a defined geographic area through social, educational and professional networking events. These events also serve to engage alumni with University developments and strategic priorities.
- Student Alumni Association
The Student Alumni Association is a student organization that works closely with the Office of Development and Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association as a bridge between the student and alumni communities.
