Volunteer Opportunities

Alumni are an important part of the Philadelphia University community.  As an alumnus/a, there are a number of ways to get involved and make a difference in the lives of current students and fellow alumni.

Current opportunities include:

Reunion 2010

Volunteers are need from the Classes of 1950, 1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, and 2009 to assist with reunion preparation.  Please contact Director of Alumni Relations, Linda Hollenback at hollenbackl@PhilaU.edu or 215.951.2929 for more information. 


Alumni Association

  • Awards and Recognition Council:
    The Awards and Recognition Council will assist the University in honoring alumni for their personal and professional achievements and their contributions to industry, the community and the University.
  • Employee Alumni Council:
    T
    he Employee Alumni Council provides leadership, support and programming for employee alumni.

  • PhilaU First 5 Council:
    First 5 is PhilaU's alumni program supporting graduates of the last five years.  Volunteers are needed from the Classes of 2006 and 2009.

Regional Alumni Networks

  • Carolinas Regional Alumni Network:
    Alumni living in North or South Carolina interested in assisting with planning social and professional networking events are asked to please contact the Alumni Relations Office at alumni@PhilaU.edu.

  • Central Pennsylvania Regional Alumni Network:
    Alumni living in Central Pennsylvania interested in starting a Regional Alumni Network for social and professional networking are asked to please contact the Alumni Relations Office at
    alumni@PhilaU.edu.

  • Northern California Regional Alumni Network:
    Alumni living in the San Francisco area interested in forming a Regional Alumni Network should contact the Alumni Relations staff at alumni@PhilaU.edu and sign up for the Northern California Discussion Group on RamNet.

  • Southern California Regional Alumni Network:
    Volunteers are needed to develop a social and professional network for the Philadelphia University alumni community in Southern California.  Interested alumni should contact the Alumni Relations staff at alumni@PhilaU.edu and sign up for the Southern California Social Alumni Network Discussion Group on RamNet.

  • 36th Annual Accounting Forum
    Alumni interested in participating in the Philadelphia University Accounting Society's 36th Annual Accounting Forum are asked to contact Accounting Society President, Andrew Shafranich at shafranich8976@PhilaU.edu  The Forum will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, in The Kanbar Campus Center's Performance Space beginning at 5:30 p.m.

  • IIDA Alumni Reception & Portfolio Showcase:
    Newly established IIDA is hosting its First Annual Portfolio Showcase on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Kanbar Performance Space. The event offers a chance for alumni and students to network while exploring examples of portfolio design and learn about creating a dynamic portfolio geared to diverse areas within interior design. Interior Design alumni with current portfolios interested in sharing their work with IIDA student members are invited to present. If you are interested in participating, please contact Sarah Ferenz at SarahFerenz@gmail.com.
