SAB Committees
Membership
Vice President of Membership: Lauren Romance
The SAB Membership Committee is a committee made up of 7 people. The committee is made up of a Vice President, who is elected by the board, and 6 other members that apply to the board. The Membership Committee is in charge of finding new members for the board through a process of interviews and applications every year. The main events that the Membership Committee is in charge of are the Fall Quarter Membership Drive, the Buddy System within the board (including Buddy Challenges like Buddy Bowling), Dinner Dates throughout each quarter, and Senior Send Off in the Spring. This committee's main purpose is to find new members that will do well on the board and keep the board united and involved with each other through events that build friendships.
Communications
Vice President of Communications: Rachel Zieleniec
The Communications Committee handles all advertising and public relations aspects of SAB. They design and submit advertisements and SAB clothing, make posters and quarter sheets to promote events, taking pictures at events, and updating the SAB website. Every year, the Communications Committee also designs and produces a daily planner that is sold in local bookstores.
Finance
Vice President of Finance: Jessica McLeod
The Finance Committee is formed on an as-needed basis to accomplish specific goals. An application is required to be considered for this committee. Currently, members assist the Vice President of Finance in various capacities which include maintaining accurate records, establishing guidelines for finance procedures, and analyzing expenses and budget information for SAB's major events.
Student Outreach
Vice President of Student Outreach: Max Adair
The Student Outreach Committee encompasses the student aspect of SAB's mission. They work closely with the O.U. Alumni Association to arrange programs like Get the Scoop, Yell Like Hell pep rally, and Sibs Weekend.
Alumni Engagement
Vice President of Alumni Engagement: Molly Brenner
The Alumni Engagement Committee is responsible for all programs involving OU alumni. They arrange all Homecoming activities and help fill all Konneker jobs.
Fundraising
Vice President of Fundraising: Lauren Johnson
The Fundraising Committee is an integral part of SAB because they focus on all operations of SAB that generate an income. The major areas are the daily planner and Freshman Record fundraisers. Additional activities include a car wash, working the Rohr room, diploma frame sales, and online surveys.
Philanthropy
Vice President of Philanthropy: Sarah Kelly
The Philanthropy Committee's main goal is to be as involved with the Athens community as possible. They are always finding new events to do, but some of their routine services include Paint the Town Green, Adopt a Highway, Relay for Life, and visits to the Lindley Inn nursing home. Occasionally, they also help other organizations around campus with their community service.
Internal Activities
Vice President of Internal Activities: Drew Murphy
The Internal Activities Committee is in charge of making sure SAB has fun and stays connected as a board. Programs include Full Board Retreat, Hayride, socials, Homecoming float building, Formal, and the Senior Send-Off picnic.
