Welcome to the Oregon Chapter Network’s home on the web!  Starting in early 2009, a group of local Bobcats pulled together to establish an Ohio University Alumni Chapter in Oregon.  We held our first event in March 2009, a successful social event in Portland that drew nearly 30 people. We’d love to see you at a future event, or to help us as we work towards establishing an “official” chapter.  If you are in Oregon or Southwest Washington and would like to join us, please contact the Oregon Chapter Network Committee Chairman Jason Kent at (208) 761-9333 or Jason.Kent@hdrinc.com. 

The goal of the Oregon Chapter is to develop a network of Ohio University Alumni, family and friends for the purpose of social networking, community service, supporting area OU students and recent graduates, and providing a link to Ohio University alumni in Oregon.  In the future, we will host events to strengthen OU ties in Oregon and to reach out to the Oregon community.  Future events include the Bobcat Barbeque on July 19 at Sellwood Park in SE Portland, community service events for such worthy organizations as Friends of Trees, an OU-Miami football game watch, and a wine tasting tour of the Willamette Valley.  Won’t you join us as we build a lasting legacy for Ohio University in Oregon?
