John Brannen (1980) writes, "Currently working as an independent operations and wellsite geologist, specializing in pore pressure analysis, geomechanics and geosteering. Most recent project was a well for BP GOM Exploration that was the 2nd deepest petroleum well ever drilled in the world and the deepest well ever drilled in the GOM. International experience includes Scotland, Norway, Equatorial Guinea, Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, Indonesia, Alaska and UAE. Prior to returning to the oil industry, worked for the USGS and developed groundwater-flow models to remediate environmental impact of K.I. Sawyer and Wurtsmith AFB, MI, in addition to conducting post-graduate work at the Nevada Test Site."

Carleen recently completed a Doctorate of Education at Teachers College, Columbia University (May 2009). Her dissertation is entitled, "Perspectives of Opera Singer Training and Education Through an Examination of College-level Programs." Recent publications include "Singer Training Forum Identifies Issues and Seeks Solutions" in the May/June 2009 "The Journal of Singing". She was guest stage director for the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama's spring graduate opera scenes program. Carleen was awarded the 2009 State University of New York's Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is Professor of Opera and Music Theatre at The Crane School of Music, SUNY-Potsdam."
