Dale Leslie (1974)
Dale R. Leslie (1974) writes, November 25, 1977- 30 years ago- my life changed dramatically; I was married!
Actually, my wife (Linda) proposed to me because I hadn't gotten around to it. Our union resulted in the birth of two boys (now young men), Drew and Graham. (In my job, I search names. And out of about 1,000 names, I 've had 1 Graham.)

Drew, 28, is a doctoral candidate in Music Performance (trombone) at the U of Texas-Austin. Graham (26), a graduate of Michigan State University and a former member of the Spartan Marching Band, is in Austin looking for employment. Music has been a blessing to our family and a lasting credit to my wife, who is a pianist. I play the important role of the audience! I traveled to China (and stood on the Great Wall) in 2001 and my dad (Richard) just celebrated his 90th birthday! Go Bobcats!"

Cynthia (Penson) Barker (1981)
Cynthia (Penson) Barker (1981) writes, I have been married to Tim Barker, BBA '84, for nearly 21 years. We have two children, one who is a senior in high school, while our youngest is an 8th grader. Our oldestr will attend college next year at Kent State (unfortunately OU does not have her major program). There is still hope for our 8th grader, who really hopes to join the Marching 110 when the time comes!

I am an Information Technology recruiter for a major central Ohio IT consulting firm. It has been a privilege for me to have helped hundreds of candidates find jobs over the past several years. I credit my experience as OU SAB Extern Committee co-chair as the inspiration for helping people to find meaningful employment that matches their career goals. However, my most important job is as a wife and mom, staying active in family activities and in the community at large. My husband Tim is a Disaster Recovery Analyst/Project Manager for Nationwide Financial in Columbus. We travel to Athens as often as possible to share the spirit and history of Athens (which is my hometown) and Ohio University with our kids and family friends.
