Recent Class Notes Kimberly (Guertin) Bays (1993) Kimberly Guertin (1993) is proud to announce the birth of a baby boy, Kian L McCarthy. He was born on February 20, 2006 in Tucson, Arizona, and weighed 9 lb., 11 oz..   Submitted on May 15 2008. Katharine K. (Marszalek) Douaihy (1988) Katharine K. (Marszalek) Douaihy (1988) received a Ph.D. in Nursing from Widener University on May 17, 2008. Katharine was among the first Ph.D. graduates from Widener's Doctor of Nursing Science program. She is employed as a Nurse Practitioner and is the Assistant Director of Research at Advanced Cardiology in Scranton, PA.   Submitted on May 14 2008. Career News Martiann Parfitt (1983) Martiann Parfitt (1983) writes, "I'm having my first solo art exhibit in two years. The show is called "Cautionary Visions" and it's running through May at Coventry Gallery, 1515 19th Street, Sacramento, CA. (http://coventryframing.com/) I'm showing ten new pieces that incorporate antique photographs, fabric, paint, paper, found objects and the usual weirdness. I'll include a couple older pieces from 2006's "Social Hygiene" show if space permits. The opening reception is Saturday, May 10th from 6 to 9 pm."   Submitted on May 3 2008.
