ALUMNI TRUST FUND
The Alumni Trust Fund is a one-time membership fund whose income is used to support important programs and projects in the name of the Alumni Association.
More than 40 years ago, the Alumni Executive Council established the Alumni Trust Fund. The interest earned by the Alumni Trust Fund has enabled the Alumni Association to make significant contributions on behalf of the entire alumni body to support important projects on the campus. Some of these projects include the Fields of Dreams, student leadership conferences, student career campaign speakers, as well as helping to facilitate the outreach and work of the Alumni Relations Office. In fact, the Alumni Association helped make myMuhlenberg.com a reality!
The Alumni Executive Council has envisioned new ways of connecting alumni to the college and to one another. The Alumni Trust Fund will provide the resources we need to make these program dreams a reality.
To all of our members: we thank you for your support!
FAQ's
What's the Difference between the Alumni Trust Fund & The Muhlenberg Fund?
Because many alumni contribute both to the Alumni Trust Fund and The Muhlenberg Fund, we?d like to take a moment to clarify the differences.
The Muhlenberg Fund supports the annual operating costs of the College. Our annual gifts to The Muhlenberg Fund help to provide student aid, pay professors, maintain the campus facility, and develop new course offerings, among many things. Because the college establishes a new budget for every fiscal year, The Muhlenberg Fund requires annual contributions or pledges to sustain the daily life of the College, its students, and its faculty.
The Alumni Trust Fund (ATF) is an endowment that contains all of the memberships paid since the ATF began. These one-time memberships are invested, along with the College?s endowment to earn interest that becomes income. With the income of the Alumni Trust Fund, the Executive Council is able to develop and support important program initiatives that connect Muhlenberg alumni to one another and to the College. Because the ATF does not budget according to a fiscal year, membership is a one-time only contribution!
