The Student Alumni Association (SAA) is an organization seeking to enhance our sense of community at Johnson & Wales University.

Johnson & Wales has identified the Student Alumni Association as a key element in connecting current students through the creation of institutional traditions and spirit-based activities and events, including networking opportunities with alumni and for the development and maintenance of institutional relations. It is also a method of welcoming alumni back to JWU and encouraging continued alumni investment and involvement at the individual campus level.

Students will be encouraged to view their role as "students today and alumni forever" and to serve as a link in connecting students and alumni on the all levels.  This will be accomplished through the creation of customized programs and activities designed to foster institutional pride, spirit, and tradition, and to educate students about philanthropy. The SAA will also provide an opportunity for current students to work directly with campus administration and to network with alumni through campus and community events. The SAA will seek to build unity and fellowship among students.

If you are an undergraduate with a willingness to share your school spirit, apply today.

Message from the Student Alumni Association- Providence Campus President

 Dear JWU Students & Alumni,

Welcome to the Johnson & Wales University community with over 16,000 students and 78,000 alumni!  It is with great pleasure and enthusisam I am leading the Providence Campus Student Alumni Association (SAA) this 2009/2010 academic year.  Our association strives to connect current students with JWU alumni to help increase school spirit, build foundation for philanthropic ideals, and encourage the progress of FOCUS 2011.  These goals will be accomplished through new traditions, tier programs, and promotion of the University's continued growth.

As a current senior and future alumnus, I enjoy sharing my experiences as a student and how the University has prepared me for monumental success.  Without the support of alumni and faculty my dreams would have never come true.  I plan to continue such legacies by enriching my fellow peers' college experiences and understanding of philanthropy.

Join us this year in our traditions and various programs to help connect students and alumni with each other and with Johnson & Wales University.  I look forward to meeting many new faces this upcoming year and welcome you to contact me with any questions!  My email is jak378@jwu.edu, feel free to email me at any time.  Again, welcome to Johnson & Wales University!

 Sincerely,

John A. Kelley III '10                                                                                                      President, Providence Campus SAA
