Recent Class Notes Kathryn Harris (1980) Kathryn Harris (1980) writes, " Alumna Opens Event Planning Business K & K EVENTS Kathryn L.Harris, a fellow bison, holds a Master’s Degree from the School of Human Ecology, Department of International Studies has re-organized her events planning business located in the Washington, DC. Her company, K & K Events, is named after Ms. Harris and her daughter, Michelle Kathryn Taylor, who is also a Howard University Alumna. Ms. Taylor graduated with a BS from the School of Business and a MBA from Columbia University. K & K is a full service event planning business with two primary niche markets - the corporate and private. For its corporate clients, K & K organizes sports tournaments. For our private clientele, we organize anniversaries, birthdays and reunion celebrations. Although, K & K Events specializes in theme development, celebrity or (VIP) bookings, handlings and special services, we are still a full service event planning company.
