Black Alumni Group

Established on December 12, 2008, Black Alumni Group is currently led by Ms. Aimee Barnes (BA '01 & MA '08) with assistance from Christine Harris (Member, Ex Officio).

The purpose and mission of the Black Alumni Group are to:

• increase communication between the University and alumni;
• develop a career networking and mentoring system that increases involvement between alumni and students;
• support the University’s advancement activities, campaigns and other fundraising drives;
• help extend the University physically, intellectually and socially, beyond the boundaries of the campus;
• keep the University informed about alumni and activities;
• recommend qualified alumni for our Distinguished Alumni Awards program and other volunteer leadership roles in the University;
