Former Exie Head Cheerleader Needs Your Cheering Support To Launch New Musical About The Battle of Gettysburg

Granville Burgess '65, CEO of Quill Entertainment Company, a nonprofit whose mission is Teaching America's Heritage Through Story and Song is looking for Exonians to help plan and execute a fundraiser in the DC area for his new musical, BATTLECRY, which will open in Gettysburg in June, 2009. Exeter teacher Rick Schubart is an enthusiastic supporter, Princeton Pulitzer-Prize Winner James McPherson is the history advisor, and the composer, Paul Bogaev, has won a Tony, Grammy, and EMMY. This is an exciting opportunity to really help establish an on-going musical that will address the serious ignorance of too many of our citizens about our past. As former Librarian of Congress Daniel Boorstin puts it: "Trying to plan for the future without a knowledge of the past is like trying to plant cut flowers." if you are interested in helping Granville win the battle to mount BATTLECRY. You may contact him at gbprodinc@optonline.net or by calling 203-253-1825. Gimme an E!
