Xcel Energy Donates $5,000 Annually 

Xcel Energy donates $5,000 to ENMU

Noelle Bartl, executive director of the ENMU Foundation (left) and Stephen Doerr, ENMU Foundation president (right) received a check for $5,000 from David Essex of Xcel Energy for the Alliance for Minority Participation (AMP) grant in Gamble’s office.  According to Bartl, the funds are distributed to applicants to the AMP program benefiting minority students in science, math, engineering and technology programs.

Noelle Bartl, executive director of the ENMU Foundation (left) receives a check for $3000 from the Theta Zeta of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.  Proceeds were raised from the annual Patty Drop. $25,000 Donation Benefits New Mexico and West Texas Students

Eastern New Mexico University alumnus Jonathan R. Nunn of Clovis recently presented ENMU president Steven Gamble a $25,000 check to establish the Jonathan R. and Jakie Nunn Endowment Fund benefiting students from New Mexico and West Texas. Artist Donates Paintings to ENMU

California artist Albert Contreras recently donated 24 untitled works in honor of "a friend who attended ENMU years ago."The works are prominently displayed in the Campus Union Building over the main stairwell to the ballroom on the second floor. The artist's works are on display in museums and galleries around the world and range in price from $2,500 for small pieces to $60,000 for large works and multi-panel arrangements. "These amazingly vibrant works of art will be enjoyed by the general public and the campus community for many years to come," stated Noelle Bartl, executive director of the ENMU Foundation. "We greatly appreciate Mr. Contreras' generosity, thoughtfulness and unique artistic technique involved in making this gift to ENMU in honor of his friend, the mystery alumnus."
