Alex Brounstein is opening a fresh is opening a fresh ground hamburgers restaurant in the Sweet Auburn Curb Market by Grady Hospital in August. He is opening the restaurant inside the market because he was working pro bono as a development consultant for the Sweet Auburn Curb Market, and ended up securing a $725,000 community development grant for them. Dina Klepner Cohen and Noel Cohen 01L welcomed son Jake Samuel Cohen on March 31, 2009.
Eric Freedman and his wife Beth welcomed their first son, Giles Edward Freedman, into their lives on May 27, 2009.
Michael Huddleston and his wife Nathalie welcome son Jonathan David Huddleston on April 24 2009.
Jon Lee and his wife Carly gave birth to a son, David Gibson Lee, on July 3, 2009.
Olga Ryabova and Yuriy Verbitskiy were married in Adelaide, Australia on January 25, 2009. Olga is a graduate student at the University of South Australia and an operations analyst at AOM Australia.Rae Sandler Simon married Joshua Reed Simon on October 12, 2008, in Vail, CO. Rae is a Doctor of Psychology and owns a private psychology practice in Denver, CO. Josh is a Production Analyst for CBRE Capital Markets – Debt and Equity Finance Group in Denver, CO.
Jeana Utrecht has recently launched her new business, Jeana-Bean Artwork. Jeana creates custom-made paintings and murals, perfect for children's rooms, nurseries, schools, doctor's offices and baby gifts.
Alissa (Melzer) Kaplan and her husband, Ray welcomed their beautiful daughter, Lexi Rose on May 28, 2008.
Barry Lapides is a fifth year associate at the law firm Duane Morris in their Miami office. He primarily practices in the area of commercial real estate.
Christine Cook Yamokoski and her husband, John Yamokoski, welcomed a daughter, Julia Elise, 8/18/2008. Cook Yamokoski is a global inventory control manager for Exactech, Inc. in Gainesville, FL.
Jason and Andrea (Hirshhorn) Gershwin announce the birth of Owen Jacob and Zachary Harrison on March 19, 2008.
Justin Cohen and his wife Annie are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Allison Morgan Cohen, on August 18, 2008.
Matthew D. Liebman, CFA, CAIA has joined Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor with The Liebman Group. Matt and his wife Allison welcomed their first child, Noah Max Liebman, on August 29, 2008.
Nodir Ayupov was married in 2000 to Saida Saidova and they have two children, son Jahongir born in 2003 and daughter Samina born in 2007. Ayupov has been General Manager of Uzbekistan Airways in Greece since 2007 and currently resides in Athens, Greece.
Todd Kantor is a Portfolio Manager at PioneerPath Capital, a subsidiary of Citadel Alternative Asset Management. Todd focuses his investments to the energy sector. Todd recently had his first son, Ethan Gabriel Kantor. Todd, along with his wife Lisa and son Ethan, live in Manhattan.
Wes Lambert moved to Thailand in 2006 for a year where he bought an Irish pub, some land to develop, and a meat import company. While in Thailand, he trained in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and taught Thais English, weekly. He got married in March of 2007 to Laura Anne Hipperson of the UK. He also lost 50 lbs and found a new love for soccer and running (and clean Thai food!), while also taking up his family's hobby of motorcycling. In August of 2007, Wes and his wife moved to Sydney, Australia (overlooking the Sydney Harbour/Opera House/Bridge) where he restructured and IPO'd Full Service Restaurant Group in Australia where he acts as Director/Secretary and spends his days working as CFO.
Tish Ganier Zone just took a position with Accent Travel Group (www.accentgrp.com), a division of World Strides, as the Director for the Global Meetings Practice. Based out of Washington, DC, Ganier Zone plans business meetings abroad for executives getting their MBA or EMBAs.
Rebecca Bromberg graduated with a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Teachers College at Columbia University in May of 2008. She is now Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission at Columbia College and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science.
