Dear Emory Alumni,
Welcome to the Orange County Emory Alumni Association. My name is Kristyn Negrelli and I graduated from Emory University in 1998. I have many fond memories of my university days at Emory. Four years ago I moved from Atlanta, Georgia to the lovely beach community of Dana Point, California. This move began a new chapter in my life. It has been exciting, however, I was longing for a sense of community.
Soon I found out that Los Angeles had an amazing and thriving Emory alumni chapter. It offered fascinating events and also seemed to have a large percentage of Emory alumni. In October 2007 I attended an event at the Getty Exhibit where I met the leader of the Los Angeles Chapter, Amber Handman. She had told me that there had been requests for an Orange County Emory Alumni Association. The rest is history??..
The Orange County Emory Alumni Association was soon founded in November of 2007. The chapter?s core group of seven alumni met at the end of 2007 to orchestrate the OC Emory Alumni Association. Since then we?ve had our first chapter function of ?appetizers & cocktails? at El Torito in Irvine. It was a wonderful evening!
I would like to welcome everyone to the Orange County Emory Alumni Association. We have big plans for 2008! We have planned events that will be a nice mixture of art, culture, sports, educational lectures, and social gatherings.
I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful group. It is so nice to meet different people here in Southern California, knowing that we share the same common bond of Emory University. If you are interesting in being involved, please click on my name to email me.
