Law school professor to make exclusive Birmingham appearance In his lecture Religion, Human Rights, and Civil Rights,
Abdullahi Ahmed An-Na'im, Charles Howard Candler Professor of Law, will discuss the dynamic relationship of religion to human rights in foreign policy, and civil rights at the national or domestic level. He also will explore the significance of the distinction between human rights and civil rights in legal and public discourse in the United States, and the implications of this distinction for the international protection of human rights.
This event, presented by the Birmingham chapter, is part of the Emory Alumni Association's Faculty on the Road program. Light refreshments will be provided.
