Upcoming SAA/Young Alumni Sponsored Events
30th International Cultural Festival
Saturday, April 8, noon-5:00 p.m.
Emory's McDonough Field
The International Cultural Festival celebrates global diversity and showcases foreign cultures, traditions, and customs through presentations featuring Emory's international students and scholars. Cultural and service organizations as well as individual students will host country-themed booths. In order to share their culture, participants display maps, fashion, literature, ethnic food, and often show patrons how to create authentic arts and crafts to take home as souvenirs. Cultural performances such as dance, song, and short skits fill the afternoon with live entertainment. There also is a designated area where games from all parts of this world are taught and where the public can learn dances and meditative exercises. A fashion show of ethnic dress is included in the schedule of events for the afternoon. Admission is free. For additional information visit www.emory.edu/ISSP/icf/discover/index.htm.
