Good Ideas

I've been on both coasts recently with President Brodhead speaking to alumni at regional events. In California on November 13, he had a chance to update Orange County area alumni on the university, and to take part in public conversation with Duke parent Bill Gross '66. Gross, the CIO and founder of the investment firm PIMCO (you've probably seen him on CNBC) was awesome! You can see and hear the entire session on iTunes U by clicking here.

On November 19, President Brodhead launched The Duke Idea at a presidential reception for alumni in Boston, where he engaged Blair Sheppard, the dean of the Fuqua School of Business. He'll be in Dallas January 22 with Sandy Williams M.D. '74 and with Dr. Victor Dzau in Ft. Lauderdale on February 12. Come learn about this new presidential initiative to discuss with Duke leaders how Duke will meet the challenges of the 21st century.
