Fall Greetings to the Alumni. I had the good fortune of attending graduation this past June, where I met the latest group of DA alumni. They continue to carry forward the qualities of decades of alumni before them, they are: active, articulate, engaged, and very supportive of the school and their relationship to it.

Even so, it is this relationship that the Executive Committee ("EC") of the Alumni Association is working to strengthen. We are focusing our current efforts on programs that foster alumni participation in various aspects of Deerfield: a summer school at DA, an international travel program, sporting events (such as swimming, hockey, squash, and soccer), an alumni speaker series for students, and the continued development of regional clubs and events. Deerfield classes are rich with friendships and shared experiences, and our goal is to strengthen our ties to each other within a continuing "Deerfield Experience."

Toward this end, we are particularly interested in hearing from you, the alumni, regarding what information you would like from the school and what programs we should pursue on your behalf. We will post a survey on the Deerfield alumni website (www.deerfieldalumni.org) requesting your feedback, and we will also send it directly to a limited number of alumni via e-mail. In addition, we encourage you to e-mail Mimi Morsman (lmorsman@deerfield.edu) or me directly with your thoughts and suggestions.
