MyBoard Manufacturing provides mentoring boards and peer-to-peer interactive workshops for women who own manufacturing businesses. MyBoard Manufacturing is based upon the successful MyBoard mentoring program designed and offered by the Center for Women's Entrepreneurship at Chatham University.

Owners receive advice and guidance from a team of experienced professionals, interact with and learn from other women in manufacturing, and are given educational and networking opportunities offered through the Center for Women's Entrepreneurship, Catalyst Connection, and Bridgeway Capital.

"MyBoard proved to be a critical source of honest, unbiased feedback, [giving me] insight that will help me grow my business in the future." - 2013 MyBoard Participant.

Mentoring Boards

Business owners engage, in-person and virtually, with a board of four mentors five times over the course of a year. The mentors come from varying fields of expertise and the selection of mentors is tailored to the specific needs of the participant. Mentors work with the business owner, solving barriers to growth, providing advice and support, and making connections.

Peer-to-Peer Workshops

In four facilitated group meetings, women-owners of manufacturing businesses learn best practices from one another and strategies to increase the bottom line, on topics such as:

  • superior process improvement
  • talent acquisition, development, and retention
  • extended enterprise management
  • customer-focused innovation
  • global engagement
  • sustainable products and processes
