Can you place this photo of the CU campus? Drop us a line and tell us where it is.

I wish I could tell you that this picture (my Columbia yearbook photo) was printed in sepia tones, but it's time for me to accept the fact that it wasn't. I'll just think of it as having aged gracefully over the past 25 years, even if I haven't. Hey, at least I didn't have embarrassingly huge hair.
As I looked through the photos I have from my time at Columbia for something fun to post here (desperately hoping to find "Barry" Obama lurking in the background of one), I saw faces of many friends I'm still in touch with. No matter how long it's been, or how far away we live from each other, when we talk or see one another, it's like no time has passed.
A Long Island girl, now transplanted to the KC area, I'm having a similar experience with members of our local alumni club. It doesn't matter that few of us were on the campus at the same time. We have a shared history, a love of learning, and a camaraderie that can't be beat.
The Columbia University Club of Kansas City is in the midst of a renaissance. We have several great events planned for the coming year, but still need more local alumni to participate and to help plan and execute new ideas. We want our calendar to fill with social, educational and cultural events, and to help promote Columbia to prospective students, their parents, and the community at large.
Please, always feel welcome in this club, our Morningside Heights between the Kansas and Missouri Rivers.
Sincerely,
Addie Harte, ENG '84 President
