Welcome

Welcome to the home page of the Columbia University Club of Bergen/Passaic/Rockland.

Our Club welcomes all with a Columbia affinity, including affiliated schools. We are also happy to welcome alumni beyond our primary service areas who are interested in our programs.

We seek to help members share in the intellectual excitement and fellowship from our Columbia heritage, and in turn maintain interest in the University's activities.

Each fall, we start our program year with a gathering at the historic Stony Hill Inn in Hackensack, with a chance to socialize, get first-hand reports from senior Campus representatives, and to hold the Club's brief annual meeting.

During the year, we sponsor lectures, with ample time for discussion, by leading faculty members (details will be posted on the 'news and events' section of our website as they become availablle).

Special events during the year include special guided museum trips, visits to special sites such as Ellis Island, and occasional weekend trips.

Each Spring, we join with other tri-state Columbia Alumni Clubs for a festive brunch at the West Point Officers' Club, with a prominent Columbia-related speaker.

We also support the University with such efforts as scholarship contributions and promotion of various programs.
